Buddha’s life Thangka is the illustration of the distinguishable phase of Buddha and his path towards spiritual enlightenment in the shape of Thangka painting. In this Thangka, the birth of Buddha is presented how his mother dreamed of a white elephant that enrolled her womb due to which she turned out to be pregnant and gave birth to Lord Buddha without any labor pain over her right armpit in the garden of Lumbini. After his birth, he instantly walked seven (7) steps forward. And all of the other actions like how he turned out to be a  great yogi by deserting his family palace by internalizing the pain and suffering of the individuals beyond his palace. He then created a quest to seek out the solution for the misery of people .He started fasting, meditating over years to find solution for the suffering of people whatever he did he couldn’t reach level of gratification when a little girl gave him rice which he ate and ongoing his meditation under Bodhi tree, on the very full moon night once he notice a direct realization of Nirvana (eternal peace), which shifted to prince Siddhartha Gautam into Buddha .Buddhist philosophy divides the eventful lifetime of Buddha into twelve events.

These actions of Buddha’s life are given a form of Thangka painting in series narrated in a special genre of paintings known as the Twelve Great Deeds of the Buddha’s Life. These handworks not solely delineate Buddha’s standard progression to Buddhism.
