Manjushri (Manjushree) is encountered as the oldest and most considerable Bodhisattva in Mahayana Buddhism literature. In early Mahayana texts called Prajnaparamita Sutra, mentioned Manjushree as the incarnation of consummate wisdom. Vimala, a pure land nominated to him by Lotus Sutra, is reasoned as one of the two best pure lands that lived in the past, present, and future. Manjushree is measured as a fully knowledgeable Bodhisattva and is enormously respected and glorified as a Meditational Deity. Manjushree is often exhibited as riding on a blue lion or seated on the skin of a lion. This symbolizes the discharge of knowledge to tame the mind, which is related to riding or subduing a fierce lion.
